Learn To Control Your Trajectory When Chipping

In this video Krista goes over a few tips to help you control the trajectory of your chip shots. Learning to control your trajectory is a key element of the short game. Krista provides simple checkpoints to go over during your practice session which will ultimately improve your performance around the greens during your rounds. 

 

Checkpoints:

  • Narrow your stance - Ideally you want to have your feet spaced apart the width of your clubhead.  Drop your front foot back 2-3" 
  • Shorten your swing - You don't want to take the clubhead back any further than knee high (depending on the length of the shot). 
  • Hold clubface towards target - When you finish you want your clubface aiming at the target. You don't want to release your hands and the clubhead
